About Me
Hello, I’m Andrew. I come from a background in psychology, with a BA and research experience from two academic labs. In those roles, I focused on user behavior, conducted interviews, ran studies, and analyzed both qualitative and quantitative data. That work taught me how to ask the right questions, look for patterns, and think critically about how people interact with systems. It laid the foundation for how I understand users today.
Currently, I work as an insurance adjuster specializing in fraud investigations. I interview policyholders, assess credibility, identify inconsistencies, and make tough decisions based on incomplete information. It’s high-stakes work that requires sharp observation, empathy, and communication. Every case is different, but the through-line is always about understanding intent and behavior. That experience maps directly to UX — especially in user research, journey mapping, and problem framing.
I’m transitioning into UX to design solutions that actually reflect how people think and behave. I care about clarity, logic, and usability, and I’m drawn to work that solves real problems. With my research background and professional experience navigating complexity, I bring a unique lens to product design: one that’s grounded in evidence, shaped by empathy, and focused on outcomes.
I enjoy playing basketball on my free time and I am currently on a mission to find the best breakfast burrito in the greater Los Angeles area.
